Adele basically controlled the whole Grammy Awards last night after she took the prize for song of the year, best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance. Not bad. She was also given the coveted album of the year prize. However, she didn’t appear to want it.
Actually, she didn’t want it so much that she decided to snap the award in half, and give it to Beyonce. Why? Because Adele thought that Lemonade would be the winner.
“‘I can’t possibly accept this award and I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful but the artist of my life is Beyoncé. This album to me, the Lemonade album was just so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul baring.
“The way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is so empowering. I love you. I always have and I always will.”
This generation is too obsessed with themselves we need more people like Adele in this world for sharing her #GRAMMYs moment with Beyoncé
