Ben Stiller has just revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 48. Well known for his role in Zoolander, Stiller told his fans the heartbreaking news earlier today.
“I was diagnosed on Friday the 13th, then I had until August the 23rd to get ready for the surgery,” he said. “So I just had the summer to hang out and think about it.”
Currently aged 50, the actor revealed via Twitter how his doctors managed to find and treat the cancer. He said:
“It came out of the blue for me. I had no idea. At first, I didn’t know what was gonna happen. I was scared. It just stopped everything in your life because you can’t plan for a movie because you don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
According to media reports, the levels of cancer were extremely high.
