After heavily reporting on Conor McGregor all throughout the year whilst I’ve been at The Wall Of Comedy, we are finally pleased to announce that a fight between Conor McGregor & Floyd Mayweather is extremely likely.
Earlier this week, McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, confirmed that the pair are in talks for a potential fight in 2017. Since this was announced, Conor was granted his boxing license for California. Yes lads! We are now one step closer to the fight becoming real.
For those of you saying that Mayweather will only fight in Las Vegas, I would like to call bulls*t on that. As Conor reportedly was denied a boxing license in the US state of Nevada. As Mayweather’s current streak is 49-0, I’m sure that he would love to make it 50.
Conor’s coach said:
“Right now, ask the average guy on the street, who do you want to see Mayweather fight, what fight’s going to get the most interest, and it would be a superfight with Conor. Certainly stranger things have happened in combat sports than a Mayweather-Conor fight. I wouldn’t be surprised by it, so who knows?
It’s one of the many options that are there for Conor, so let’s see how the next couple of weeks go. I don’t know about you, but even just the thought of this fight is exciting. Let’s hope it goes off.”
