If you watched it, you will certainly know that his debut wasn’t a massive success.
The ex-WWE superstar was incentivised to the sport with a $500k cheque. But despite not making it past the first round, I’m sure that he’s happy with the money.

Even though he didn’t have any previous MMA experience, the decent paycheque he received was certainly impressive. Mickey Gall only took home $30k for the fight- despite his extremely dominant performance.
According to MMA fighting, the payments of the main fighters were:
Stipe Miocic ($600,000 + no win bonus = $600,000) def. Alistair Overeem ($800,000)
Fabricio Werdum ($250,000 + $125,000 = $375,000) def. Travis Browne ($120,000)
Mickey Gall ($15,000 + $15,000 = $30,000) def. CM Punk ($500,000)
Jimmie Rivera ($24,000 + $24,000 = $48,000) def. Urijah Faber ($160,000)
Jessica Andrade ($23,000 + $23,000 = $46,000) def. Joanne Calderwood ($25,000)
I must admit, $500k is certainly a good amount of money. If my maths is correct, that’s roughly $3k per second.
CM Punk won’t be getting this amount of money anytime soon though, as Dana White confirms:
Although it was a massive loss, I gotta congratulate CM on withstanding such a brutal fight.
