Most of us love to go shopping for new gadgets/tech. Whilst I was in London for the National TV Awards, I purchased a new flat screen TV for my bedroom. Currently, I own 2 phones, 2 TV’s, an iPad, a MacBook Air, and an iPod touch 5th Gen. Not bad. But one guy seemed to think that it would be a great idea to commit fraud against his local supermarket.
Police are currently searching for a man who got himself a £329.99 refund for a TV he picked up from a shelf moments before. On January 2nd, he picked up a large TV in an Aldi store, and proceeded to take it to the checkout.
After finding a cashier, he asked for a refund for the TV despite not having bought it, or having a receipt. Police have said the man then went to speak with the manager, shook his hand and returned to the cashier, who believed a refund of £329.99 was owed.
If you know of any information relating to this man’s identity or whereabouts, please contact Lincolnshire Police on 101. Thank you.
