Nelly’s song “Dilemma” is one of the best songs ever to enter the world of RnB. But over the past few years, fans have begun to realise that Kelly Roland used Microsoft Excel to text her guy in the music video. Like wtf? Why would you use a spreadsheet to text your lover?
I don’t know about you guys. But personally, I just use iMessage or Snapchat to text my b*tches. It’s much easier. In the music video for “Dilemma”, she writes:
“Where you at? Holla when you get this”.
If you’ve been anywhere on the internet over the past couple of years, you will be aware that it’s now a meme:
In the music video, Kelly was absolutely fuming that Nelly didn’t text back. After all, it may take a while if you’re using an excel spreadsheet.
I remember when I was going out with my ex-girlfriend and she wouldn’t stop phoning me unless I replied to her texts within 5 minutes. Crazy ass b*tch. I assume Kelly is the same if she’s getting annoyed. Lads, avoid her. She’s hard work.
Anyway, Nelly explained the reason for using the spreadsheet in the music video. He said:
“That was the thing at the time. That was the new technology at the time. It looks a little dated now, I can see that.”
I still don’t know why you’d use a spreadsheet though. It’s the pain-causing software of many people’s lives (including mine). At least it makes me look good at my job…
There you go lads.
