At last, the news that we’ve all been wanting to hear has arrived!
A UK Police Force is now letting people who grow/smoke Cannabis get away with prosecution. As a result, people making a load of dollar from the drug are now able to evade the law, and simply get a “slap on the wrist” as a punishment. Not bad.
However, Anti-Drugs campaigners (or Weed Feminists as I call them) have strongly opposed Durham Police’s stance on the controversial topic.
Ron Hogg, the Police & Crime commissioner has said that he wanted drugs to be dealt with “in a fair and measured way”.
“We are not prioritising people who have a small number of cannabis plants for their own use. In low-level cases we say it is better to work with them and put them in a position where they can recover”.
However, he believes that Cannabis could potentially be legalised for medical purposes. On an alternative note, Mary Brett, a campaigner from Skunk Sense, has stated:
“It’s a dangerous message to send out to kids. Police are just issuing cautions and giving a slap on the wrist. The kids are laughing at the law; they can’t take it seriously.”
Do you think Cannabis should be legalised? Let me know in the comments.
